Hi there! My name is Kaitlyn Amaral (they/she) and I am a portrait, lifestyle & wedding photographer from Rhode Island. I serve the Southern New England area including Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts, capturing moments & memories for the people who will treasure them.
A bit about me – I was born and raised in Rhode Island, which is where I currently live with my partner Sean, our dog Jesse, and our cats Scully & Mulder. I spend much of my down time with them, cuddled on the couch with a snack, watching our favorite shows like Star Trek and Bob’s Burgers. I also enjoy doing various arts & crafts, listening to music, playing video games and of course, taking photos!
Photography has been a passion of mine for most of my life. I started out taking photos with disposable cameras and a plastic 35mm point & shoot, and when I was in middle school, I saved up to purchase my first digital camera. It was something I had been dreaming of for a long time, and once I had it, I started taking pictures of everything – our dog, a pile of crayons, my niece, the dandelions in the yard, a handful of vibrant freeze pops – whatever caught my eye was bound to be caught by my camera. Since then, I’ve felt the need to capture every smile, every moment, and every detail possible.
When I’m not taking pictures for myself and my loved ones, I’m working to capture the lives of others in an authentic and honest way. I would love the opportunity to capture some of your special moments as well! Some of the things I enjoy taking photos of include families of all shapes and sizes, pets (the fluffier, the better), couples in various stages of their relationship, individuals who need updated headshots or just want to celebrate where they are in life, and of course, weddings and elopements!
